The ST Connector is a robust fiber optic connector widely used in telecommunications and data networks for its reliable performance and durability. It features a 2.5mm ceramic ferrule and a bayonet-style coupling mechanism (push-and-twist), ensuring secure connections while allowing quick mating and unmating. Designed for both single-mode and multimode fibers, it typically achieves low insertion loss and high return loss . The ST connector's metal housing provides enhanced mechanical protection, making it suitable for harsh environments. Commonly applied in LANs, and industrial systems.
