To clean the 2.5 mm fiber optic jack with the cleaner, completely remove the guide cap from the unit and insert the tip of the cleaner into the jack. Rotate the cleaner handle from the LOCK position to the CLEAN position, then carefully push the handle against the jack to push the cleaning cord that cleans the connector. A click indicates that cleaning is complete. To clean a 2.5 mm SC, ST, FC or ES200 fiber optic splice with only the top of the guide cap exposed, insert the tip of the FBC250 cleaner into the splice and continue with the same procedure.
The diagram shows that a new cleaning head is being installed. When the green bar appears in the indicator window, the cleaning head needs to be replaced. To remove the cleaning head from the FBC125 or FBC250 cleaner, remove the guide cover completely and then remove the old cleaning head by pulling it out of the handle. Please perform this last step carefully.
